Motorlight Floor
The Motorlight Floor is the world's first variable angle uplight and realises Jake Dyson's vision that a light can be both versatile and striking. It allows the user to adjust the beam angle between 8 and 60 degrees, from a tight spotlight to a wide flood of light. The Motorlight Floor's unique patented focusing mechanism uses a single lamp and angle-adjusting reflector.
As the aluminium wheel at the front of the luminaire rotates, the outer reflector raises and lowers, thus increasing and decreasing the width of the beam. The angle can be fixed using the simple controls at the back of the product, or set to continually move through the varying angles. With this setting, Motorlight Floor mesmorises, as cyclical waves of light spread throughout the room. Using multiple luminaires creates a spectacular effect.
